Samsung has recently made significant changes to its update policy. The South Korean manufacturer has begun offering seven years of support for its flagship Galaxy S24 series and six years of support for the mid-range Galaxy A16 5G. Recent reports reveal the technical specifications of a new smartphone that will also offer six years of update support.

The Galaxy A14 4G will feature a design similar to the 5G variant released last year. It will include a triple rear camera setup on the back panel and a waterdrop notch on the front, a staple of the entry-level segment.

The device will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, built on a 6nm architecture. This chipset features 2x 2.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A76 cores, 6x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores, and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The Galaxy A14 4G will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will boast a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz.

On the camera front, the phone will feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, there will be a 13-megapixel front camera.

The Galaxy A14 4G will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery. Additionally, it will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP54 certification, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB 2.0. The device is expected to have a price tag of around 199 euros, though its launch date is yet to be announced.
